The Scariest Thing This Halloween? Missing Out on the Perfect Property

This Halloween, we decided to take a different approach to the season’s thrills and chills. Instead of focusing on typical spooky elements, we wanted to inspire you with something a little more haunting: the idea of missing out on the perfect luxury property. Our campaign, “The Scariest Thing This Halloween? Missing Out on the Perfect Property”, was designed to remind you that while Halloween may be filled with ghosts and goblins, the real fright is letting your dream home slip away because you are waiting for the perfect market conditions.

Behind the Campaign: Crafting the Perfect Balance Between Spooky and Sophisticated

This Halloween, our campaign redefines what it means to be scared. In the dynamic luxury property market of Marbella, the true terror isn’t a ghost story—it’s the real-world fear of missing out (FOMO) on a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to own an exceptional home.

Our message is unmistakable: the most frightening thing this season is the potential regret of letting your dream property in Marbella slip away. In a market where perfect homes can vanish in an instant, the real horror is letting hesitation haunt your chance to embrace a life of unparalleled luxury. Don’t let the ghost of a missed opportunity be your scariest tale.

Behind the Scenes: A Blend of Elegance and Mystery

This year, our Halloween campaign combined creativity, luxury and a touch of fear to bring property marketing to life (quite literally). The concept evolved from two ideas: a spooky “nightmare series” and the line “The scariest thing this Halloween? Missing out on the perfect property.” Ultimately, we decided to merge them into one FOMO-driven storyline, set in a stunning luxury villa in El Madroñal.

The campaign consisted of two main filmings. The first took place at “Villa Alice” in El Madroñal, where we brought the nightmare series to life, blending eerie storytelling with cinematic property visuals to create a hauntingly beautiful atmosphere. The second shoot took place at our Engel & Völkers offices on the Golden Mile, where our team participated in a light-hearted “ghost” filming session. It was an opportunity to blend professional creativity with plenty of laughter and behind-the-scenes fun.

Insights from the Creative Visionary Behind the Campaign

To dive deeper into how this campaign came to life, we spoke with Savannah, the creative force behind “The Scariest Thing This Halloween? Missing Out on the Perfect Property”:

From the start, the goal was to create a campaign that blended humour with the elegance of our exclusive listings. Our previous campaigns have always leaned toward a more editorial and playful style, and we wanted to continue building on that tone while bringing personality and creativity into the world of luxury real estate.

The concept began with the idea of “The scariest thing this Halloween? Missing out on the perfect property.” From there, we developed it into a full creative direction that played on FOMO in a cinematic, storytelling way. It was incredibly fun taking that initial spark and turning it into detailed nightmare scenes filmed in one of our stunning villas in El Madroñal.

We also introduced a lighter twist with our ghost series, filmed at our offices on the Golden Mile, which you can see on our TikTok. It added a humorous and behind-the-scenes element to the campaign that really captured our team’s spirit and creativity.

Overall, it was such an enjoyable project to bring to life – as every seasonal campaign has been –  a perfect mix of storytelling, luxury and creativity.
